Spring and the coming of Easter is another of my favourite times of year.

The days stretch a little longer. Fresh air drifts in through open windows, and everywhere I look, there are signs of new life.

And somehow, I always think of my Grandma.

Here we are in mid-February, the heart of winter. This is usually the time I begin to long for warmer days and imagine tending the garden again. But I’ve been reminding myself not to rush ahead. Spring will come. It always does.

In this long stretch of winter, there is a quieter kind of loveliness that presents itself. I like to refer to it as my Winter Delights.

In the middle of a surprisingly mild January, I found myself wandering through the snow with my camera, noticing how content I am to be home in my own quiet space.

Even in the busyness of December, stillness waits for us…guiding our hearts back to the true gift of Christmas.
