Quiet Note January-2026
Welcome to my Quiet Note
In this space, where calm moments meet inspiration, my hope is that these notes bring you a sense of peace, thoughtful reflection, and a gentle reminder to find beauty in the quiet.
Lovely Words
““I can hardly wait for tomorrow,
it means a new life for me each and every day.”

Hello sweet friend,
I pray this note finds you well.
Before anything else, I must begin with thank you. This is my twenty-second Quiet Note… how did that happen? And yet, here we are, me writing these thoughts and you receiving them. Whether this is your very first note or you’ve been here from the beginning, I am deeply grateful you are here with me now.
This past week, for the middle of January, the weather was surprisingly mild. So I wandered through the snow toward my little studio shed with my camera in hand, hoping to capture a photo or two. There was no rush, just simply noticing and I realized how content I am to be home, right here in my own quiet space.
Just before Christmas, I launched Quiet Mail on my website. I am still finding my creative rhythm with it, but it is coming. It is such a joy to create these monthly delights.
As much as I love winter’s stillness, my thoughts are already drifting toward spring. This week, I ordered a few petunia seeds. After last growing season, I swore I would not plant petunias again…they looked so sad…and yet, here I am, giving them another chance. Maybe that is part of living, holding onto hope, trying again, and trusting that something beautiful will grow.
But for now, let us find the goodness in today…right here, right now…because it is real and it is lovely.
My hope for you, as always, is that this note offers you a quiet place to rest for a moment.
with love and gratitude,
Loralie
